Invitation to write in The LIBERATOR! Which Way Savannah newsletter
This is a formal request and invitation for you to submit a work (short 100word essay, or saying, poem, lyric, drawing, photo, etc.), for the April Earth Day LIBERATOR! The Yaupon and Buna edition. Email your submissions to Dr. David Pleasant and Dr. Simona Perry.

We invite you to make a statement which addresses the kind of topics covered by the WWS and LIBERATOR! over the last few years. Some of you are aware of how our boxes, papers and other personal property have been attacked and vandalized—and now stolen. We take this as a sign that indeed our COUNTERVAILING Narrative has been impactful. Syncopation and Poly Riddim have been thrown into the mix of an otherwise acceptably GroOvy, but harm filled Status quo. Let’s keep syncopating, please!

Hunger Strike to End the 24-Hour Workday
In New York City, home attendants–predominantly immigrant women of color–are forced to work sleepless 24-hour shifts, for multiple days in a row. They care for our elderly, disabled, or severely ill loved ones who need 24-hour care. Everywhere else in the world, 24-hour home care work is split into 8- or 12-hour shifts. 24-hour workdays destroy workers’ bodies and families, and endanger patients’ lives.

Beginning Wednesday, March 20th at City Hall, we hunger strike to call for an immediate end to the violence! Pass the “No More 24” Act which replaces 24-hour workdays with split shifts!
