Sunday Message:  On the 4th Sunday of Advent, we light the candle that symbolizes love. Also called the Angel’s candle, or the Messenger’s candle, we are reminded of the story of a divine messenger appearing to Joseph in his taemong (태몽, or conception dream), calling on him to take one step further in his protection for Mary, pregnant out of wedlock. What have you been willing to do before in which you felt God calling you to do more?

As we celebrate this sacred story, feel free to come to the virtual service with your own candle. There will be a red candle on screen this year, as many Christian faith communities are lighting red candles to show solidarity with the Palestinian Church and the occupied and besieged Palestinians.
