Blessed Pridetide to all who celebrate! On the first Sunday of this holy month, we’ll return to our reflection of the Trinity with an apocryphal reading that comes from the margins of scripture–from the Wisdom of Solomon 7. Dominating social presuppositions claim that many of our distinct and interweaving identities are at odds with the other–that we cannot be Queer and Christian. That we cannot be [insert you ethnic identity here] and (U.S.) “American.” Or that one cannot belong to your ethnic and cultural community and be Queer. Yet, many of us exist with our multiple identities. What are the manifold ways that you are? And how does your being inform you of God whose imago Dei you bear?
