Sunday Message: For many of us at HA:N, we have been actively contending with various theologies we’ve inherited. As LGBTQ+ persons, allies, and conflicted Christians, many of us have wrestled with what has been commonly taught about God and queerness. Other theological concerns may have pertained to the pervasiveness of whiteness in our faith language and worship. Some of us are perturbed by the increasing climate catastrophes and the lack of care for God’s creation. Some of us are struggling to understand how some Christians are supporting or seem indifferent to our neighbors being violently taken away by masked agents. As a community that grapples with our faith, our storysharing and vulnerabilities make this community what it is today. Nearly six years after Covid made this church a virtual community, many of us have made HA:N our chosen faith community. 

This Sunday, we look at the beginning of Jesus’ chosen family as we also reflect on our chosen community at HA:N.
